Absolute Risk

(1) A measure of interest rate risk usually expressed as the loss associated with a 100 basis point (1.0%) parallel shift in the yield curve. See also Curve Risk, Spread Risk, Loss Limit. (2) The volatility of an asset's absolute return as opposed to its return relative to a benchmark. See also Relative Risk.
