Companion Collateralized Mortgage Obligation

A volatile CMO tranche that, for example, gets principal first or interest last to stabilize the cash flows to other tranches. Also called Support Collateralized Mortgage Obligation. See also Interest Only (IO) Obligation, Principal Only (PO) Obligation, Support (SUP) Bond.
