Contractual Settlement Day Accounting (CSDA)

A securities custody or safe-keeping arrangement between an investor and a custodian under which the investor is credited for all payments due and debited for all payments required on the nominal settlement day-even if the transaction does not actually settle as a result of a failure on the part of the custodian or the counterparty to a transaction. CSDA is usually available in relatively mature markets with good settlement procedures.
