Cost of Carry

(1) The net out-of-pocket cost of holding a cash market position. (2) A model for the pricing of futures contracts, particularly financial futures, which describes the fair value of the futures contract in terms of the net cost incurred to hold a long cash position and a short futures position through the settlement date of the futures contract.
