Equity Premium Puzzle

A reference to the difficulty of explaining the size of the observed equity risk premium (return premium) using standard asset return models. Brown, Goetzmann and Ross suggest that survivorship bias in equity markets overstates the equity premium experienced by investors. See also Survivorship Bias.
