European Currency Unit (ECU) Bond

A Eurobond denominated in the ECU. The provisions of these bonds vary but ordinarily interest and principal can be paid in ECUs or in any of the ECU constituent currencies at the option of the holder. In most cases, the exchange rate would be the spot rate in effect at the time of the payment. See also Euro.
