European Exchange Rate Quotation Convention

In currency markets, the practice of quoting exchange relationships in terms of the number of units of the foreign currency per dollar. Quotations in French francs per dollar or D-marks per dollar would be expressing the exchange rate relationship in the European convention. See also American Exchange Rate Quotation Convention.
