(1) In the mortgage market, the ratio of the principal outstanding to the original balance of the mortgage pool, expressed as a decimal. (2) See Multi-Factor Model. (3) A traditional financial intermediary who finances low-rated enterprises by purchasing their receivables. See also Forfeiting.
