Financial Instruments Project

An undertaking by the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) to clarify the accounting for a wide variety of financial instruments, particularly more complex financial instruments which have been developed in recent years. The financial instruments project has led to a number of Statements of Principle from the FASB and the development of Exposure Drafts which are becoming accounting standards.
