(1) A bond price quotation excluding accrued interest. (2) A reference to the terms of trading of certain bonds which are in default or which pay interest only to the extent that interest is earned. When a bond is traded flat, it means that the price includes consideration for any or all of the unpaid interest accruals. (3) A zero price or yield spread between two (usually related) financial instruments.
