Funding Ratio (FR)

In asset/liability management, the market value of assets divided by the present value of future liabilities. If the ratio exceeds unity (or 100%) the obligations are said to be overfunded. If the ratio is less than 100%, the obligations are underfunded. See also Funding Ratio Return (FRR).
