Hedge Clause

A statement-usually in a small-type font-that appears on a securities research report or market letter which may disclaim responsibility for losses the reader or user of the report may incur as a result of errors or omissions in the report. Hedge clauses may also reveal potential conflicts of interest which might be deemed to affect any recommendations contained in the report. Also called Disclaimer.
