Net-to-Gross Ratio (NGR)

Typically, the ratio of the current net market value of open positions held between two counterparties to the current gross market value of positions between the same counterparties. The NGR is used to measure the value of netting and, in some capital calculations, to reduce the capital requirements of a financial intermediary to reflect the benefits of enforceable netting. See also Gross Replacement Value (GRV), Net Replacement Value (NRV).
