Next Day Settlement (NDS)

The standard for completion of certain securities transactions and fund transfers in which the transaction is completed the day after a trade or the day after agreement on the amount of a payment. Replaced by Same Day Funds Settlement (SDFS) for most securities-related funds transfers in the United States in early 1996. See also Same Day Funds Settlement (SDFS).
