R2

(R2 Coefficient of Determination) In regression analysis, the fraction of variation in the dependent variable that is explained by variation in the independent variable or variables. R2 is calculated as the ratio of the sum of the squared differences between the predicted values for the dependent variable and the average of the observed values for the dependent variable to the sum of the squared differences between the observed values for the dependent variable and the average of those values. R2 ranges in value from 0 to 1. A high value indicates a strong relationship between the dependent and independent variables, whereas a low value indicates a weak relationship.
