Securities Lending Credit
A special cost reduction or return enhancement component built into a financial instrument. The credit exists because the issuer of the instrument obtains a benefit from lending out a securities position. Competitive market forces push this credit on to the buyer, embedding it in the instrument. Also called Embedded Securities Lending Credit.
