The instrument at the end of a complex series of trusts and funds sponsored by Leland O'Brien, Rubinstein Associates' Supershares Service Corporation. Supershares are designed to come in a number of flavors that decompose the returns in an S&P-500 index fund and a money market fund into elements that resemble PRIMEs (covered calls), SCOREs (call warrants), and option spreads (risk reversals and reverse risk reversals). The drawbacks of the Supershare Structure are its complexity and inherently high cost.
