Mex. A Mexican variation on a currency forward contract. An investor who wants to hedge a peso position pays forward points to lock in the spot rate. At settlement, the investor receives the difference between the initial spot rate and the spot rate at settlement. The Mexican government imposes a small withholding tax on any 'capital gain' from the transaction.
