Continuous Return

The rate of return which, when compounded continuously, will cause an investment to grow by a factor equal to one plus the periodic return. For example, $1 invested for one year at an annualized continuous return of 9.53% will grow to $1.10. The continuous return is equal to the natural logarithm of the quantity, one plus the periodic return:
