Debt Service Costs

Annual cash requirements to meet interest and repayment obligations on debt. Coverage ratios with earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) or some other cash flow measure as the numerator and debt service costs as the denominator are useful indicators of a debtor's ability to pay. Compare to Fixed Charges. Also called Debt Service Coverage Ratios.
