Decay Factor

The rate at which a variable's value diminishes through time. For example, if a variable is set equal to Aekt, and A is greater than 0, k is negative, and t equals time, then the variable exhibits exponential decay. With exponential decay, a variable will be reduced to half its value in the same amount of time regardless of its starting value.
