Electronic Money

The ultimate (at least so far) dematerialization of money, electronic money exists only as debit and credit transfers over a network. Electronic accounts may be printed on paper to give them physical substance, but an exclusively electronic manifestation is increasingly common. Sometimes called Cybercash.
