Louvre Accord
|
An agreement by ministers of the major industrialized countries reached at a 1987 meeting held in the Louvre to maintain then current exchange rate levels. In the wake of a 1985 agreement to lower the value of the dollar, the ministers feared that the dollar might overshoot its natural level on the downside.
